Homemade Twix Bars are a quick and easy no-bake treat, made with a layer of club crackers, a delicious stove-top caramel mixture, and topped with a candy coating of chocolate, butterscotch, and peanut butter. They are perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth in just 10 minutes of prep, with some chilling time to set.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs (from 9 crackers)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 sleeve Club crackers (or substitute with saltine or graham crackers)
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

Directions

  1. In a 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat, bring graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, butter, milk, and granulated sugar to a boil. Reduce heat slightly and boil for 5 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, line the bottom of a 9-inch by 13-inch pan with Club crackers.
  3. Spread the boiled sugar mixture over the crackers, then top with another layer of Club crackers.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt together chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and peanut butter over medium heat. Stir until smooth (but do not whip).
  5. Spread the melted mixture evenly over the crackers and allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting into bars.
