Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 ounces of Boursin cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (180°C).
  2. Prepare three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  3. Shape the Boursin cheese into small balls. Dredge each ball in flour, shaking off the excess. Dip in beaten eggs, letting the excess drip off, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Place the coated cheese balls on a baking sheet or plate and freeze for 15 minutes to firm up.
  5. Fry the cheese balls in batches for 30 seconds to 1 minute until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel-lined baking sheet to drain.
  6. Serve immediately while warm, paired with your favorite dipping sauce.
